good morning how are you doing today?Well tommorow afternoon Directv is sending a guy out to work on my satellite dish.i signed up to the protection plan yesterday.What should i do when he comes to the house my step-dad wants to add directv to all 4 rooms of the house.while the installer is here should i ask him to add the slimline dish?and i am thinking of putting a HD Receiver in my room.Please give me some ideas.

If you didn't order HD equipment chances are it won't be on the service truck.

Normally, maybe always, you must have a work order with DirecTV before adding equipment.

A guy that is scheduled to only work at your place for 45 minutes isn't going to upgrade you even if he has the equipment on his truck. Also it would be hard for him to consume inventory on a service call.
Unless you have magical persuasion power ie. green.

Normally, the service plan kicks in after you've had it for 30 days. You may be surprised with a service charge on your account. Or you may be lucky and save the service charge. Let us know what the result is.
