dying hr10-250 cheap upgrade???

I have an HR10-250 that is slowly dying. I have protection plan. Could I get it replaced with an HR2x free???

Yes DIRECTV will replace it for free. They will do it because you have the protection plan and they are also upgrading customers with MPEG2 HD equipment for free right now too.
