Is anyone in Central or South Florida for that matter getting the Marlins game in HD? SunSports says it is broadcasting in HD and the SunSports web site lists 653-1 as carrying the game.

Thanks for any updates.

same here in Orlando, the only way to get to that channel though is to go to sny and let it do the game search and find it for you:D

This process is frustrating at times. My son had HD on cable, next town to me. I got in before 10 last night and no 653-1. "Forced" a search from 733-1 and nicely sent to 9346 in HD. Commercial flipped over to the Dolphins. Tried to get back to 9346, and no access. Tried forcing a search again, no access. Didn't matter at that point, it was pretty much history, but don't we deserve to know when a game is on, especially when it's in HD and where that game is and how to readily find it. Has to be a better way.

Exactly I made the mistake of checking in on some other games during a commercial in the 8th and could not get it back since sny's guide data had moved on to postgame live so no game search. Then today the game is on FSN hd but it is not listed in the guide so im gonna assume it will be on one of those 9*** channels again but how to get there without gamesearch? not possible

I missed the HD broadcast altogether. I think by 8.14.08 the problem will be solved as FSN Fl and SUN will become full time HD channels.

Oh wow, I wasn't even aware of that, that will be awesome for the upcoming heat and magic seasons:D

They are part of the new group of channels from D11. All of the pre-game and post-game shows will be shown without having to switch channels. Fox , from what I have read, is working hard to fill these channels with more HD. :)

hey it doesn't mean all the games will be in HD it just means that the ones that aren't are at least upconverted and you don't have to look two places for games and maybe miss an HD version

yep that's what i'm talking about, it was awful last year having to watch the games all stretched and blurry, I woulda given my right leg for an upconverted magic game last season

I agree with the blurry, but I personally wouldn't make it worse by stretching it:)

I tried both ways and found that even with the bars on the side it still looked awful, i did alternate throughout the season but didn't like either very much. It really sucks knowing this marlins game is on in hd right now and I cant see it though.

Just found this on the FSN FL website ATTENTION DIRECTV HD CUSTOMERS: DUE TO CAPACITY ISSUES RELATING TO THE BEJING OLYMPICS, DIRECTV WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER THE AUGUST 9 AND AUGUST 10 MARLINS GAMES IN HD TO THEIR HD CUSTOMERS.

Thanks for the heads-up. HD Sportsguide http://www.hdsportsguide.com/ shows it of course, and it had been announced previously.

MLB 1:10 PM Florida Marlins vs. New York Mets (Regional) FSN FL (720p)

So I went looking for a '700' to force an HD find and only 726 was listed with of course the same 654 feed. Thanks for the explanation.

So for anyone in Mets Territory it is easy to get the HD feed let game search find it for you on the blacked out FSNFL channel (It will find the HD version in Test) ... this BTW would also work for Marlins territory if they have a blacked out Mets feed to go to ...

I am in Rays territory and like Friday night I went to the FSN NW feed (blacked out for me) and got the game in HD from Seattle on 9341 or some such test channel by using Game Search....

Shame they couldn't just open the guide to those channels for today since both games ARE being broadcast by D* today in HD but EI fans in the country can't see them that way (BTW the rays OTA feed is SD only again today that is why I am using the TEST channel
