For those who haven't heard about this yet

------------------------------------

Microsoft will cut more than 150 positions in a restructuring of its UltimateTV business based in Silicon Valley, the San Jose Mercury News reported Tuesday.

The reorganization will eliminate Microsoft's UltimateTV division in Mountain View, Calif., which has about 500 employees, the newspaper said. About two-thirds of those employees will be consolidated into other Microsoft groups. The remaining 168 employees will be given three months to find other jobs within Microsoft or face severance.

The Mercury News said the UltimateTV service still will be provided to consumers.

On the satellite TV side, UltimateTV is offered through DirecTV.

With Microsoft moving most employees over to XBOX I can only imagine that we will see some sort of MOXI Clone plug in for the XBOX in the future.

Imagine it, a plug in tuner that gives you PVR functions, the unit already does the MP3 Jukebox function, it plays video games, it outputs already in HDTV and it can do the Internet (currently with special software but soon with official XBOX software)

XBOX already has 75% of a MOXI type machine built.

Not a bad plan if you asked me.
