ARe the remotes for the hr20 and hr21 the same? I had an hr20 setup with my universal remote and now got an hr21. I seem to be having problems some times with turning it on and off. Just curious, I thought they were the same remote.

Yes both come with RC64R.

So the on/off codes are all the same, I am assuming that based on your comment.

I can use any of my 3 remotes (2 directv and a mx700) with any of my dvrs (hr21-700 and 2 hr20-700)
