DirecTV HD channels [Archive]

Why would I be seeing Disney without sound on HBOHD? I also get MTV2 on SHOD. Channel 199 has sound, but the HD indicator does not lite. I have talked to DTV about this and they said it was something to do with the tower they transmit from. Has anyone else had this problem? I have the Sony HD 200.

Your dish is out of alignment. You need to re-aim.

I checked the signal level on these channels and they are good. I watched SHOH last night and it was fine,but the HD indicater did not lite. Channel 199 is video onlyas well as HBOH and it is Disney.

As I said, your 119 sat isn't aimed right. You are getting a signal off another sat. Check out avsforums.com for a ton more info on aiming your dish and this exact problem.

simply put, your pointing at 101 not 119.
