old 1 lnb antenna

a buddy of mine bought a h20 on ebay he has and old 1lnb rca antenna will it work for now til he gets the slimline???:confused:

Yes, he just needs to set the SAT setup to a single LNB dish and change it to five once he gets the Slimline dish.

Also, he will not get any of the HD channels until he upgrades the dish. Using the old 1-LNB dish will give him only SD. He may or may not get locals, depending on his location.

It may be an old 1 LNB dish, but the LNB may have dual outputs so the DVR would be able to record two channels at the same time, albeit only the SD ones.

I believe he'll still have to pay the 9.99 HD charge for the HD reciever too. might want to check on that.
