British Prime Minister Tony Blair slammed the broadcast, saying: "Parading people in that way is contrary to the Geneva Convention, contrary to all the proper rules of combat."
This, after Arab satellite channel Al-Jazeera apparently showed four dead American soldiers and five POWs in Baghdad.
The International Committee of the Red Cross has agreed the footage violated the convention.
Joseph Hudson is one of the POWs captured by the Iraqis, and his mother is worried for his safety.
"He looks so scared being interviewed live. Of course the rest of his people, I think they killed them already. I started shaking. I couldn't believe that he is one of the prisoners of war," Anecita Hudson said.
"I just want him to come home. I hope the president will do something about this and they get the prisoners out, not only my son but everybody.
Asked whether she is against the war, Anecita said: "Yes, I'm against it because of what is happening today. I don't want to have war and of course you guys don't either."
The tape broadcast over the Arab satellite channel Al-Jazeera showed US soldiers being interrogated and some dead from gunshot wounds.
