Where's the new HD channels?

Since D*11 went live I was expecting at least a few new HD channels. Been waiting for CHiller and FOX News in HD for two years. I would love to see us get a few of the VOOM channels. When should we expect some more national HD channels?

D* decided they rather give us PPV channels than real channels. There has been some statements that the PPV are placeholders but I'll believe that when they actually start shutting them off and turning regular channels on.

I think we have to give DirecTV a chance. They had a successful launch of their satellite. DirecTV is also under pressure from Dish with it's new channels. I suspect that DirecTV will launch more new channels very soon.

:beatdeadhorse: They were very open about September launches, the new PPV's, hd lils and the mpeg2/mpeg4 changover. Give it a rest people.

DirecTV isn't going to spend tons of money to put a satellite into space and then not do much with it. It takes time making sure everything is squared away on it. After everything is squared away, then you need to go over carriage agreements and make sure that the provider is ready for you turn them on.

Folks this doesn't happen in minutes, it takes weeks and even months.
