6000u or wait?

Hi All,

I'm thinking of getting the 6000u. Already get OTA HD through my zenith 420.

My question is, do you think I should wait for the new models later this year or go ahead and get the 6000 now? I don't have any desire to get PVR at this time since my wife seems to buy DVDs in bulk:)

We need another receiver anyway for a third TV so I thought I would get the 6000u for the plasma and use the 4000 in the bedroom.

Any thoughts or comments would be welcome.

Im glad i did not wait to get mine, but it was my only option to recieve hd reception. I applied for and got cbs, so with hbo, sho, and disc. hd it was worth it to me. Have since learned that the local abc is in digital, so instlalling 8vsb today.

I think it will be many months for see any new coming out so I would get it now (6000) and enjoy what what is available.

I think the 6000 would be valuable if you need OTA HDTV reception in addition to the Dish network. If you do not need the OTA reception the new lower end box will probably be cheaper.
