Yawn... It seems like the only sports Michael Schwimmer likes to negotiate for is Soccer or Cricket. (How about some american sports?!)
Anyways here is the press release.

The MLS Shootout package is only $49, didn't it used to be $69?

This is the best deal on any PPV package. $49 and you get every match that is broadcast on any source feed - wild or otherwise. You might not realize just how many people actually love soccer. If you're sport of choice isn't on Dish, check out DirecTV or digital cable....

Yeah, really. This is the reason why I'm glad DISH doesn't have Major League Baseball -- too many damn foreigners.

Being a huge IU soccer fan, and soccer fan in general, I may just get the package. Seems like the price is quite the bargain. I'll have to check the rosters and see what teams past IU players are on, and follow those teams. For whatever reason, I've never really got into the MLS, but at this price, I'll give them a season to get me hooked.
IndyMichael,
The Crew have Mike Clark and Brian Maisonneuve - used to have Todd Yeagley (Coach Yeagley's son) and several other IU alums.
Check out www.thecrew.com , www.mlsnet.com or www.bigsoccer.com
The level of competition in MLS is actually quite high. In fact, Brian McBride just left his loan to Everton in the EPL early to rejoin the Crew for an CONCACAF Champions Cup match. The game he decided to forego in order to return to the Crew - Everton v. Arsenal. The recent success of the US Mens National team is directly related to MLS.
If you are just in Indy - come over for a match.
There are 15 home Crew games this year. Check out the schedule over at www.thecrew.com
or
US Mens National Team v. Paraguay at Columbus Crew Stadium on Sunday July 6, 2003.
regardless - if you enjoy Soccer you would love this package. If you don't enjoy Soccer - why would you follow this thread?

I think it's what the whole world (except the United States) calls football.
Now, I could never understand why they call American Football football, because you don't really use your feet!

Well from the looks of things in that pic above....it looks like they got all you soccer subs by the balls, eh?!! :D
My lady and I have been getting this package every year since it started (I think this is the 3rd or 4th year) It started out a $69, which was still a deal, considering the games you get, but last year it went down to $49 because they dropped the Wednesday night coverage (MLS is played on Saturdays and sometimes Wednesdays)
Now I know we'd happily throw back in the $20 if they added WUSA to the package. WUSA only gets like one game a week broadcast, and that's on PAX of all places.
Interesting Factoid, the term soccer is actually a brtish one used to differeniate the "Association Football" from "Rugby Football" which evolved into just Rugby today.
Now all we need is for the Women's Professional (american) football to get TV coverage, so my little sister can be a star (go Sacramento Sirens!: )
