Very nice.

This should be a lot easier for installers and everyone having a standard rollout ;)

Thanks for the info! When can I buy just the head unit? I already have the slimline 5 dish but need to convert it to a SL3 unit.

Interesting that the packout lists one monopole instead of two.

Anyway, I believe the single packs are intended for resellers and retailers, like solid signal, etc.

The HSP stuff has been going to bigger and bigger bulk packs. First it was two of everything in a box, then the az/el assembly was in its own box, etc. Now, the mast and monopoles are 4 to a box; reflectors, LNB arm, and back mount are 3 to a box, az/el are 6 to box as are LNBs. Crazy stuff trying to keep things in check. :eek2:

The SL3 is available now but I don't know if you can get it outside of an install situation. The SL3S should be available very soon as well (to select markets).

I dont think they ever packed Az/Els in a box with dishes. That would have been one heavy box

Back in the very early days of the AT9. Those boxes were huge and heavy. :(

I can attest to that...as my AT-9 was carried to the physical Dish location that it's still in now by ME. :D

Interesting info Dave.

Makes sense. Have dishes in stock and just use the add-ons you need.

Does this mean that DirecTV will now authorize installs where LOS exists only to the 101 deg neighborhood?

My guess is no...you'd have to have the 3 main sats LOS.

by 101 neighborhood I think he meant 99/101/103. they shoud authorize it if your SD locals come off 101 and you do not subscribe to Latino programming. That is the whole point on the SL3 LNB unit: 99/101/013 only.
