Disney to cut half of ABC Family work force

LOS ANGELES, Jan 10 - The Walt Disney Co. will cut about 300 jobs -- or half the work force -- at its newly acquired ABC Family cable network, as Disney integrates the channel with its other TV properties, a source familiar with the situation said on Thursday.

I was in the hopsital last week and when I finally got put into a room, the TV was tuned to "ABC Family" using Atlanta AT&T Broadband cable. But to my shock, the hospital room Remote would not work, could not change the channel, could not turn off the TV, could not lower the volume, NOTHING!!!. I was for 4 hours Tortured by some Olsen Twins shows and other stuff on that channel until the repair guys came to fix it. Previously I had no opinion about the channel, but seeing it again would bring back flashbacks to the longest 4 hours of my life. :(
