I'm looking to buy a Dishnetwork PVR 721.
Does anyone have one for sale for a good price or
does anyone know where I can buy one online for the best price?
Thanks all
Paul

Hi Paul and welcome to DBSTalk! :hi:
Many here have been quite satisfied with purchasing the 721 for $519 and free shipping through http://www.dishdepot.com . Great service and prices.

How much did that ad cost Dish Depot? ;)
J/K I know you guys don't really get paid for that other than the giveaways that go to us anyway. :D

Actually, it's a case of them being a good internet retailer. There aren't many out there.
I've bought two Dishplayers and a 721 from them and they've been great. Even when I did a Meg Ryan and became a "high maintenance" customer. The Dishplayers required that the initial software download be performed off of the 119 feed only so I would have had to do a SW64 bypass when I hooked them up. Mark generously offered to do the download at no charge and saved me a headache.
One of the Dishplayers came in DOA as it could not see the even transponders. He sent me a replacement within 48 hours and I sent back the DOA unit with no problems.
I got my 721 from him when he was having a moment of weakness when he had a 48 hour 10% off sale from the price of $549 he had been selling it for. I got mine for $494 which still has been the best price I've seen.
There may be cheaper retailers out there, but none that have been met with the universal approval that Mark has.
.........
Ok Mark, can I have a discount on the 921 now? (just kidding!)

Thanks Bob for detailing your experience with DishDepot. I know I sound like a broken record around here recommending them but it really does come more from the fact that they treat their customers well.

I often fret that too many people spend their time complaining about people who do things badly, while ignoring those who do things well. I'm glad to help spread the word about Mark's good deeds.
For what is worth, I second all of the above. My first 721 arrived DOA as well, and Mark had a replacement at N/C on the very next day!! Customer service Dish Depot is unexcelled I believe.

I have been recomending DishDepot LONG before DBSTalk even existed. I purchased my equipment from Mark a long time ago and have had GREAT service from him, when I had a problem I gave Mark a call and he went out of his way to help me out. Like others the Dishplayer would not work with a SW64 switch so Mark shipped me out a new Dishplayer with the software preloaded and gave me a call tag to ship back the other unit.
The long and short of it is Mark goes way out of his way to make his customers happy.
Go search other forums and you will find me singing the praises of DishDepot long before DBSTalk was a glimmer is Chris's eye. :)

I've dealt with Mark before I found this great forum, and he has been excellent to deal with. I'm even lucky enough to live near his business; so I also want to add that Paul, his main installer, is fantastic too!
