01-11-02, 08:12 PM
XM Satellite Radio and O'Rourke Brothers Distributing signed a sales agreement for O'Rourke to support XM's marketing efforts aimed at independent satellite television retailers and installers who want to offer XM service to their customers.

O'Rourke plans to sell the Sony XM receiver with the Sony home kit beginning this quarter. O'Rourke has more than 10,000 retailers who purchase satellite television products through their network of nine regional sales offices.

Brad Foreman, vice president of sales and marketing for O'Rourke, said, "Our satellite dealers will not only be able to offer the highest quality video, but now they can offer Americans the first satellite radio service. We see this emerging market as a high growth area for the next several years and we want to make sure that our dealers get to participate."

Retailers, this is the first chance of many to get aboard the satellite radio movement. XM Satellite Radio has seen the independent retailer niche and they have offered O'Rourke the opportunity to distribute to your businesses. If you have not already teamed with O'Rourke, it would be a smart decision to do so. This deal is an opportunity to diversify your business.
