Hello
Since I'm pretty much sure I cannot get 129 and seems like 61.5 is my only choice what exactlly do I need for a "Two Dish Setup" for two receivers?
Currently have Dish 500 with a DP-Twin with both wires running to a ground block and to the two seperate receivers.
Looking at www.dishfinder.com I'm sure I can get 61.5 and can mount it almost next to the other.
Since this was to be a "Free Upgrade" involving the 811 can they just install the Dish 1000 like they were for 110, 119 & 129 and use it for 61.5? I've read that keeping the Dish 500 at 110 & 119 is better. Thanks

A second Dish 500 with a DP34 switch would work for giving you 61.5.

Something like this:

Should the installers have all this or is it up to me?

Yes, a Dish 500 can be used in place of the Dish 300 (really hard to find them anymore) with one lnb (either side) and the skew set to 90.

Or you can replace the DP Twin with a DishPro Plus Twin (http://www.dishuser.org/twin.php#dpp). Run the new LNB to the DPP Twin's input. You will then be set for replacing either or both receivers with a dual-tuner model without having to run more RG6.
See Instuctions for Adding 61.5° (http://www.dishuser.org/addadish.php) and Dish Switch Selector (http://www.dishuser.org/swconfig.php) for more explanation and other possibilities.

Well we got a little hot yesterday as the so-called "survey" person didn't come out. In fact when I called the 1-888 number on the letter we got about the upgrade they said it was showing the order being "cancelled"!!
So on the phone once again and start from scratch. No offense but I had a hard time understanding the guy on the other end and he probably the same with me. He did pull up the original order to go off of. I did tell him I wanted a offical Dish person and not the same sub out. I know he tried but he was using a $5 analog signal reader, he had no Birdog and I was yelling out the window what the meter was showing on the TV.
So this Saturday another one (third) is scheduled and I'm more concerned they won't know the whole story, what's already happen and that I'll need another seperate Dish and DP34 switch. I've sent in a e-mail on the "installation" issue to Technical in hopes somehow it'll be passed on. I even included my authorization number. If they show up Saturday and leave without us still with no HD we're going off. Anything else we can do on our end to make sure this cannot happen?

129 never really worked for me just too weak, Dish sent out a tech to replace my setup to two 500 dishes, one for 110 & 119 and the other for 61.5 and since then I have had no problems.
My solution for this problem is to turn the existing dish to 61.5W and add a Dish500 with a DPP Twin for 110W and 119W.
The DP34 is a lot of extra work and expense for only two receivers.
