But since Iraq doesn't possess them, I'm not too worried.

Nothing like the press blowing everything out of the water. Irresponsible journalism. No proof. Why can't they just wait until they really know what is going on.

The reports, by CNN, NBC and CBS's National Security correspondent David Martin, did not name the U.S. officials or give any further details.

Why wait, when you can point your finger at 3 big TV networks? That and it's reuters reporting it. ;)

At this point I hope they TRY to launch a chemical weapons attack. The troops are trained to cover up quickly and this will allow world opinion (outside the Middle East at least) to do a 180 and realize that we were NOT making the threat up.

we don't need to nuke....

But if Iraq has the stupidity to use WMD on our troops, u can bet than within hours, maybe even less, we will MOAB the hell out of Bagdad, and each Republican guard outpost. You don't mess with the US and get away with it.

Wait, you don't wish that on anyone. If they are there we'll find them. You don't want to have chemical weapons used on our troops. Thousands of them would get really sick if that happened and it would be totally unfair. No training can prepare you for what might be unleashed. Some might get careless and get hurt if this happened. The best hope is that we will get to the chemical weapons before they can use them.

I don't know about the MOAB, but there's reprorts from the north of bombing taking place 40km away from reporters that has a rolling thunder sound when it gets to them.

A lot of the enemies have been carrying gas masks.

I just wonder it the chemical suits our guys have been wearing for many days now have lost their effectiveness against a real attack. My minimal understanding is that the suits have a charcoal lining that acts like a filter, filtering out the chemical compounds. I would assume that this charcoal can get "saturated" in time and wouldn't be surprised if it could get "saturated" by the output of the soldiers wearing the suits for an extended time.
