Cherry, MacLean to face music over debate

Hockey Night in Canada commentators Don Cherry and Ron MacLean will feel some heat -- but no discipline -- when CBC executives take them to task today for their debate of the U.S. war with Iraq.

CBC Sports executive director Nancy Lee huddled with CBC executives yesterday, including vice-president Harold Redekopp, to discuss the sports commentators' controversial remarks during the popular Coach's Corner segment of the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast last Saturday.

If they open their mouths about this and get fired; I'm sure Faux News will hire them as "Military Expert commentators"

I watched it & I can't say I'm surprised. They often venture off hockey subjects. I think if they had not brought it up people would say how can they talk about hockey when there is a war going on.

I watch that show for entertainment purposes only, Don Cherry in no way influences the way I think or act. Sometimes I agree with him, most times I don't.
