My first HR21 lockup.

My HR21 was installed in early July and hasn't had a hiccup...until some time last night. It was frozen this morning and nothing worked except an RBR. But, it's probably for the good since recording starts were running almost a minute late and I was missing the first part of recorded programs. ;)

I am a new customer and have been getting frequent freezes on all of my Hr21's....

RBR works..but it's a long 5ish minutes to wait.

Also, I too notice that my recordings are little off timewise...

Both of my brand new (1 week, just replaced) HR21's locked up last night for the first time. I was hoping they would be better...

I'm new on this forum and new to HD...

I had a strange issue last night with my HR21.

I had just selected a program to record through the guide, and then I got a "Searching for signal" error 721.

I did a red button reset, and it came up ok. It didn't see my External HD, so I powered off the DVR and restarted the HDD, then the DVR now it's ok.

Might have been a slighly buggy national software release, hopefully the next one will help to clear up issues.

Directv has been very active in releasing software updates to refine the receivers and fix bugs, so a new national release update should come out in the next few weeks I am sure.
