Pretty much *every* show we have recorded on either DVR (and we duplicate recordings on a HR23, and an R22) has lots of pixellation and sound break up. Law and Order this week was unwatchable. (Broadcast on Jan 21).
Fox 26, American Idol on Jan 13,14, 19,20 all had issues with pixellation and audio breakup.

I have contacted Directv about breakups (Pixellation) on KMPH 26 Fresno they blame my Dish but KMPH Egineering says its Directvs problem not the station. Engineering of KMPH says it has received complaints from other Satellite viewers on Directv. What to do? They scheduled a service call but if this is happening to others what good would that do? This is a problem that is not constant but it does do it. KMPH says it does also.

No problems here :D What times/shows does it happen on for you?

I also noticed this with these two channels (24 and 26) the other night. The other two local HD channels (30 and 47) had no problems at all. Something is not right here.

I will be phoning up to bring this to their attention today. I am glad it is not just me experiencing issues. Does anyone know what satellite and transponders these channels come from?

I had spoken to tech support, and they told me that they knew of no issues, and this was probrably a hardware issue - on all 3 DVR's at the same time.
I had the tech come out today, and explained the issue I was having. He said that it was due to the digital transition, and that he had been told " There is only so much digital to go around and when there are a lot of people watching a channel, it will get pixellated"...
I explained how this was not likely to be true, and he came around to my conclusion that there is likely an uplink issue between the local station and D*. He is making a note on my account, and will be joining this forum to monitor the situation.
I have to admit though, since the latest release 2b0, there has not been any issues.
