Sunday 03/02/09, 5pm through now, 10pm (also happened last sunday evening)

HD locals through Directv - Significant pixelation on NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox

Resetting the receiver does nothing, forced a softward download, that does nothing, happens on both receivers.

Viewed ota through the tv tuner (leaving directv out of it) = no pixelation.
99c strength is occasionally dropping from 80s to zero on all transponders.

HR20-100 Digital Transition KWCH 12-1 & KMTW 36-1

This seems to be the best thread / forum to post this message..

Since the change over last night to their new stations I can no longer tune in KWCH 12-1 or KMTW 36-1 can not be tuned in using the OFF AIR tuner of my HR20-100.

It has the latest software downloaded just this week : 0x312 Wed 6/10, 2:23am

I CAN tune into KWCH 12-2 their local 24 hour weather station!

and YES I have rescanned and even ' BIG RED BUTTON 'ed the receiver.

PS: I wished that DirecTV would allow the 'LP' digital stations to be recorded!! Such as "RTN/KGPT" 49-1/4 and the local 'ION/KCTU' 43.1/4
I find it funny that the 'LP DTV' stations are offering more choice than the ''BIG NAME' stations!

KPTS-8 (PBS) "HD service" has been added, yea! Too, bad it's only 8.1 and not .2 or .3 also.

However, I get occasional breakup...and yes I check the other HD LiLs and there are no problems on the other channels.

So, it's either KPTS' broadcast, or the D* OTA receive site needs to tweak the antenna. The receive site is near Wichita...while KPTS broadcasts from near Hutchinson, on a shorter tower than KWCH.

Again today, about 12: 35p during Barney & Friends, tuned to KPTS via D* and the break-up made the program unwatchable.

Talked with KPTS...say their OTA signal is clear...and will be contacting D* about the receive site.

Since the PSIP is 10.1, how will D* boxes handle it?
