On the channel listing on this website, I see the Encore Pak for about five bucks [excluding Encore itself.] I can't find any info about it on Dish Network's website. Is it still offered? I have AT100 + locals, if that makes a difference. I'm somewhat interested in movie channel/movie package, but I'm not going to pay thirteen bucks for one [I can sometimes watch a movie on tv when it's not OAR, but I won't pay that much for them.]

It is still available, and it DOES include Encore itself, but only the West-coast feed. The East-coast feed is available only in the Starz Superpak.

The Encore Pak is an unadvertised package. It was only mentioned once or twice on past Charlie Chats. For $4.99 you get Encore west, Westerns, Action, Love Stories, True Stories and Mystery. The east coast feed of Encore and WAM are NOT included in this package.

FYI -The top 150 package has the Encore Pak plus Wam, The Movie Channel West and West Xtra, and of course has more channels included for $9 more than you are now paying. But if your watching expenses the Encore Pak is a decent value. The Theme channels do not always have the newer movies, but if you just like movies there is quite a variety.

It is well worth paying the extra $4 to get the rest of the channels if you have the top 100 package but if you have the top 50 package then maybe the $5 Encore Thematic pack is the better choice. Also I think there is a $5 Discovery pack available as well but not sure on that one.

No, there is not a Discovery pack. There USED to be an "action pack" that included Discovery Wings for $5. But when Speedvision went to AT100 and CNN-SI was discontinured, the package was dropped.
See ya

Guys, thanks for the tip, since I went to the AT50/Locals package last month, I was in a movie drought so I ordered the Encore pak this weekend.

I just ordered the Encore pack as well. I also had to bump up to AT100, so I could get Fox Sport NW, to see the Marniers.
