I know there is a 90 install warranty. I know with the PP the IRD is covered with shipping costs for a replacement but is shipping covered during the 90 days if you dont have the PP?

Yes, if the IRD fails within 90 days of installation, replacement is free. You might see a charge and an offsetting credit on your bill.
