Laser Dithering?

I was just browsing the channel guide on my HR20 when I noticed an upcoming show listing:

"Upcoming: RIO/Protection Plan/Laser Dithering"

Does anyone have any idea what the heck "Laser Dithering" is?

DTV set up an experiment with laser beams from the LNB pointed at a black board (with the 5 satellites on it). It just shows how a correctly aligned dish will be hitting all the satellites, while if you are off by just a little you can miss by a lot. It was pretty interesting.
