Cablevision?!!! WTF!!! Dolan is WORSE than Ergan IMHO...........
Another story from todays USAToday indicating that SBC may have lost interest in Directv and that Malone MAY go after Dish if the Directv bid fails..........http://www.usatoday.com/money/media/2003-03-26-malone_x.htm

Doesn't it seem like the sale of DirecTV is lasting forever?

Cablevision is worse than Charlie, but I seriously doubt they can afford D*.

Dolan is a GENIUS!
Get D*TV and add in their 11/13 tp's at 61.5 and BURY DISHNetwork forgever.

Interesting note: Dolan and Ergen share the same first name, coincidence? I think not!

It will be interesting the next few months. To see who teams up with who and who bids alone for DirecTV. One thing for certain is that it will take a while. The more bidders the longer DirecTV can haggle.

If Murdoch gets in I wouldnt go nuts with speculation of huge price increases he will have to compete with CheapCharlie.....and John I agree this has gone on WAY too long.

I agree the D* sale has been a soap opera, but if by some chance the Dolan's got their grubby hands on D*, I'd have to consider switching to E* which is the lesser of two evils.

OMG, if Cablevision gets control of Direct then I am switching to Dish the very next day. The Dolans are evil and screw up everything that they touch. You just know that they would make YES Network on Direct a premium channel even if you live in the NYC DMA and charge 10 bones a month for it.

IF Cablevision gets control....Cox Cable Cleveland here I come....No way would I consider E*.......Zane IF they gained control of D* they would probably find a way to BREAK the YES deal and seek a way to have it dropped....The more I read about that Cablevision/YES deal the more Im starting to go to the side of YES on that one.

I thought some said that Murdoch loves to compete and will lower prices to do so? Also what is CableVision doing bidding for DirecTv when they are launching their own service at the end of the year? What are they going to do, merge the new company and DirecTv together or something?
