View Full Version : 501 Customer Service pulled up *SOMEONE ELSE'S* bill!!!

This morning I pulled up the Customer Service app from Dish Home on our 501 on a whim and checked it and it gave me :eek2:*someone else's bill*:eek2:!!! What the hell is up with that? This thing was supposed to be secure... that just blew my confidence in the whole thing.

*checks again before posting*

It did it again. Exited Customer Service, went back, the receiver dialled again, and it pulled up a different record.

And again.

I would call Dish customer service, but I doubt I'd get past the front-line support. This is a serious matter -- we're talking about names, addresses, account numbers, PPV purchases (including pornos), and so forth ripe for the plucking by unscrupulous people... and if the system is this hosed, do you trust it with your credit card info?

Update: Yanked the smart card after posting and tried again. This time the "View your (ha ha) statement" process eventually times out with a "Dish Network is unreachable at this time"-type statement.

Seems pretty bad and Dish does NOT want to credit your account for things they say that you INDEED order. Trust me, I have had customers that had issues and they just would not budge unless you threatened them and still they would not do so. They just do not care about their customers, they say go ahead and disconnect.
