Samurai Girl (Sunday Showing)

I had a strange thing happen this weekend. I recorded ABC Family Samurai Girl on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday’s and Saturday’s recording were OK. Sunday, was a different manner. I could hear the music and sound effects but the dialog was nonexistent. I heard the music in the back ground and sound effects for a scene, but when there was dialog, no voices were heard. If I was to watch it, I would have to turn on Close Caption. Anyone else experience this? It was recorded on a HR20-700. I could hear the commercials with voices OK. My other recordings were OK.

It sounds like it was an ABCFamily channel issue. You would have to find someone else that happened to record or watch the show live to verify this.

With that being a new channel, I would expect them to have some issues from time-to-time.

Same thing here. Second showing was just fine all aduio was there. Audio did come back on first showing not sure just when i stoped watching and switcked to another recording went back just before the 9PM cst showing and aduio was back.

Same here. ABC Family must have forgotten to mix the voice track at first. They fixed it later into the showing. I just recorded the second showing and it was fine.

ABC Family blew it... and it wasn't just DirecTV either... I got lucky and caught it 8 minutes in... I rescheduled another recording of the repeat that immediately followed it and that one worked... Somebody was asleep at the ABC wheel...

Does anyone besides me wonder why Control rooms don't set up just a regular tv with a regular/sat/cable and antenna connection to monitor not what they "think" they are sneding out but in fact what is being received:nono2::nono2::nono2:

I had no idea there was an issue until now, recorded this for my wife so they better reshow it.
