OK, I have the 5LNB slimline antenna that was installed last year by a really good installer. My levels were outstanding as far as I could tell (high 90's and even 100's). Lately I have been having some pixalation problems on various channels (latest was monday watching channel 13 (which i believe is a spot beam local for my area (23435 area code))). Anyways I figured I would submit my levels to you all and ask your opinions on whether I have a problem.

Receiver is an HR20-100S
BBC's are the gray ones

I swapped the bbc'S between inputs, and swapped down-feed cables between inputs, with no change . So what is the concensus for these levels? Are they good, or is there a problem?

Alignment looks fine, but Tuner 1: No 99's, 110's, or 103's. Very strange. You've swapped lines and BBC's. Do you have an external multi-switch? If so, bypass it with double-female barrel adapters, and connect your receiver directly to the dish. I assume you've rebooted your receiver recently, and the problem persists.

Definitely not good as you have 0s on Tuner 1 where there is signal on Tuner 2, but it is curious that the 101 & 119 are different (but not the 110). Your 0 signal levels are cause of a tuner not working at all, no cause for pixelation here.

Nothing changed when you swapped BBCs & cables? Got another receiver to try?

Has the receiver been reset after the cable/BBC swaps?

I didnt reset the reciever after each swap.
There is a multiswitch in the attic. 8 port model. I thought it was strange though when I upgraded to HD, that the tech removed the old switch (which was powered), and installed the new 8 port model which is not powered. I have other recievers in the house. 3 old d10's for the kids and grandma, and a HR21-700 in the family room. Obviously the d10's wont give me much info since they are only SD, but I will write down the numbers from the HR21 tonight after i get home.

So as of right now it points to probably a bad tuner in the reciever?

The multi-switch is a Zinwell WB68 [which is needed for the new channels].
Without resetting the receiver, it doesn't "yet" point to the receiver, but it's not out of the picture either.
The receiver "looks" at the connections during boot. If you have made changes, and not rebooted, then you haven't had the receiver "re-look" again.

Not necessarily. One of my tuners will occasionally drop to all zeros. After a reset receiver command, everything goes back to normal.

I will force a reset when i get home tonight. Then recheck the levels with the bbc's and cables back to original config. Then swap bbc's, force a reset. check levels, and then swap cables, reset and check levels. That should give me a broad spectrum of what i have going on.

Also,

I have seen on this board that some people list a SWM option for the list of satellites. I dont have that in mine. Should I

"Only" if you had a SWM system. If you're using BBCs, then you don't.

And that's why you should make sure you have at least two barrel adapters on hand to bypass the multi-switch, connecting your HR straight to two of the dish lines, and thereby eliminating the switch as a possible problem.
