View Full Version : Get to configuration menus without a dish hooked up?

I'll spare you the story, but I have (had?) a need to hook up an HR21Pro at a location where there is no dish installed in order to test configuration with a particular display. I figured there wouldn't be any problem with getting to the configuration menu and at least be able to change output resolutions and such, but the menu button only gives options for "Signal Strength" and "Repeat Satellite Setup".
And as much as I looked, I couldn't find an option under satellite setup for "no dish".
Any tricks that might make this happen?
Thanks,
- Chip

Yes It works, but on the remote only. :)
You might also try pushing EXIT, then MENU when it starts to look for satellites. I know that worked on the SD R15/16 units.

I know with my H20, the only way to get into "the full setup menu" was to use the remote info button. Everything else [if it worked] would only take me to a partial menu.

Thanks everybody - holding "info" did the trick... :)
And yes - "exit" and "menu" only presented me with a menu that had the two options I originally mentioned.
Much appreciated.
