Well, unfortunately I don't get VH1 Classic, but I would rather watch/listen to any amount of glam/hair metal [after all, Bowie and T Rex have been called 'glam' also] than the crap they play on MTV.....
I miss Riki Rachtman and the Headbangers Ball....my token 3 hours of heavy metal....

its live from London and they havesome great shows, the best ones (IMO) are at 9am M-F (central time)
and 6pm-9pm Sat+Sun (central time)
Remember the UK is one hour ahead than the usual 6 hours (Central) for the next week.
They broadcast in digital on the BSKYB satellite service too!

VH-1 Classic rocks!!! I love the 70's-80's metal videos from Def Leppard, Ozzy, Whitesnake, Led Zep...

I now watch it more than MTV2, which has gone downhill faster than Mariah Carey's career.

I;ll have to tune in sometime this weekend for the metal vids.

I agree on the VH-1 Classics opinion. It is the ONLY music channel that I ever tune to now. I just hope they don't wreck it like they have all the others. I think the Heavy Metal Weekend though might just be a bit too much for me. :lol:

In the time that I had a recording studio in Minneapolis I can't recall one band that I ever recorded that I would call "metal." I did a lot of rock bands, R&B, a couple Latin rock bands, a good amount of folk music, acoustic music, and way too many country bands. A "good" metal band would have been interesting to do. I had one band that did some good Aerosmith covers, although I don't know if I would count them as metal.

VH1 Classic does ROCK, Kevin I agree....hell Ive blocked both MTV1 and 2 off my EPG....IMO theyve both gone downhill faster that Mariah Carey's AND Whitney Houston's careers combined....:D

Only time I watch MTV2 is for the Rock Countdown and sometimes for Control Freak when there's good stuff on. Other then that VH-1 Classic has became one of my favorite channels. Can't get enough of Motley Crue and Girls, Girls, Girls :D
