This is not an April Fools joke.

I just picked up a new logitech mx700 mouse last night, and I have to say that this thing is the best mouse I've ever used. It's the rechargeable, wireless optical mouse. It comes with a charging cradle that the mouse lives in when not in use to keep its NiMH batteries charged up. It's a little larger and heavier than normal mice, but it's the smoothest mouse I've ever seen. It has 8 fully programmable buttons (including the scroll wheel). I HIGHLY recommend this mouse!

Normally this mouse goes for $79.99, but this week CompUSA is running an in-store special of $20 instant savings, so it is $59.99. Also this week, Best Buy and Circuit City have $20 mail in rebates for this mouse. So, print out the specials page from the CompUSA website, take it to BB or CC and have them pricematch the $59.99 price from CUSA. Then send in the rebate. Total cost = $79.99 - $20 IR - $20 MIR = $39.99.

Good deal for a really great mouse! :)

I have the MX500, which is the corded version, and I'll agree it is a great mouse. Feels good, lots of buttons, and VERY smooth pointer movement.

If you notice the scrolling on web pages seems to be a little delayed or erratic you can set the priority on EM_EXEC.EXE to above normal (ctrl+alt+del, right click this process) and it will fix this. It doesn't save this though so every time you shut down or restart you'll have to do it again. I've noticed it on a couple of machines running XP. You can't smoothly scroll just a line or two because it misses the first couple of bumps of the scroll wheel.

I've experienced no scrolling delay at all, but I've only used it for about an hour so far. I installed the latest driver version (9.76). Newer than what came on the CD with the mouse.

Just installed the new drivers, scroll issue is gone now. I also noticed on the logitech site that it said this version had "improved scrolling". ;)
