I don't know if it's just me, but the 721 seems to be getting quirky over time. Twice in the last two weeks I've had spontanious reboots. They seem somewhat controlled, the PVR app seems to disapear and the X Window screen is revealed (tiny black and white checkers with the "X" shaped cursor in the middle). Box reboots. I guess if I wanted to void my warranty I could mount the drive and check out the syslog (HINT TO DISH, a Syslog viewer would be nice in the diags screen).

The 721 is hooked up to a nice UPS and everything. Doesn't seem like a hard ware issue per se.

My other quirky bug is timmers that go off multiple times. For instance I've got Iron chef timmers set for Friday. Every now and then the timmer will hit mid week. The PVR listing will say Iron Chef, but it will be some goofy mid week programming. The timmer on Friday still goes off, but their is a premature timmer as well.

Hopefully L1.10 will fix this and I won't have to exchange for a refurb.

Speaking of L1.10, March is over. Dish - you paying attention to the calendar?

Please Dish, don't worry about keeping an artificial schedule, just do it right!

Yes, do the 1.10 software right the first time. Buggy patches stink.

That being said, I've noticed in the past week that my three week old 721 is getting more picky.

Either I have too many timers, or too much on the hard drive. Got about 70 hours saved, and I'm willing to bet a lot of fragmentation because of all the deleted and saved stuff over the past few weeks.

Had to do my first reboot last night, but that might have just been because I tried to delete a stored program at the same instant two timers fired.

Dish! Ignore them. Just get it out now. Version numbers can be increased if needed. L1.11 can be released if L1.10 is buggy. Heck you can even go with L1.20 or L1.35 if you want, we won't know any better.

The important thing is that you release it today.

Thanks,

Cyclone

And you'd probably be the first one complaining about the bugs.
