The IP addresses may be unique but I know that I log onto different computers to post and read information and the IP address changes everytime dial up internet customers get on the internet after a disconnection.
Why is a hit not a pageview?

The forums are not actually HTML pages they are generated on the fly and therefore are not pageviews.
Pageviews are things like out main homepage i.e. http://www.dbstalk.com/index.html which is an actual html page, this page is considered a page view. :)
Jacob I just checked your account and your IP address is not too much different each time you logon. :) Infact from I see is that you only seem to come in from 12 different IP addresses. So the handing out of your IP address is not as random as you might think.
Thanks everyone for a great month.

Thats because they all came from the same internet provider from 3 locations, the other 2 I referred them to the same internet provider, in which I know the owner of the company.

At any rate, they know what subnet you are from they can identify you pretty easily. Thats how they ban people.....

Most of that activity was just me. I've been really bored lately, and haven't been able to sleep much. I must have been to this site and a few others at least 20,000 times last month.

I already know that they identify some people on here to ban them because some of the numbers are similar or within a certain range.
