Will the InDemand channels like some cable services have that allows you to pick when the movie or show starts and lets you fast forward, rewind, etc. ever be avalible on Dish? Thanks.

Probably not. But that is what a PVR is for.

I heard this was something they were going to add to some of the PVR receivers in the future such as the 721 where they have saved hard drive space for those features. They were talking about this a while back but I have not heard about this for a while now.

VOD like on cable will never work on Sat. You need a two way path.

Like Geronimo said, you need a hard drive to cache the movie.
