I installed a D* Plus dish in 2003. I then upgraded the dish to 3 LNB configuration.
I bought a Slimline and want to install it ( I am working on either using the same mast and making an adapter (I am going to use schedule 40 2") or installing next to the old dish mount). The old dish has a 4x4 multiswitch mounted to the back of it. Can I come out of the Slimline and into the old multiswitch? I cannot find any specs on it. Thanks.

If you need more than 4 outputs you will need to upgraded the multi-switch to a Zinwell WB68.

The multi-switch you have now will not be able to receive the MPEG4 HD channels.

Thanks.

I was trying to get by without redoing my wiring.

Just so I know: I currently get HD with the old switch, so I didn't think it would be a freq. issue. Is the old switch not passing MPEG-4?

No the old switch will not pass the frequencies used for MPEG4 HD channels.

The only multi-switches that will work is the Zinwell WB68 or WB616 and the SWM8 or SWM5.
