Ever since this weekend channels 70, 71, 73, 75, 82 are seaching. Any ideas why?
Is this an OTA question or a D* UHF only goes as high as 69 now.

If your referring to DirecTV HD channels matching the numbers you described above, try resettign the IRD by pressing the red button under the access card's door panel.
If after rebooting you still don't have those stations then it's time to check your dish. Use the IRD's internal meter and make sure your receiving high signal on all satellites 101, 110, 119, 99 and 103. If your not that is your issue and you'll need to have the dish realigned as it has moved in some manner.

these channels are the old hd mpeg2 channels. they are now in mpeg4 and should be turned off.
probably should be moved to the right forum.

Enkkkkk. Although they may infact be broadcasting them in mpeg4; they are still active on the channels he listed above. If he's getting searching for satellite signal, it's not because there's nothing there (cough)....
You might want to confirm by going to the stations themselves as I'm watching them now as I type this response.
Once again -- wrong forum. Should probably be DirecTV forum.

I am moving this to the "DIRECTV Programming" forum.
