But South Carolina is not one of the states eligible to bet.

I have a bud in KY...... He is a big time horse racing fan...... He has me in a fantasy derby league..... I use his account or should I say he bets for me...... After I switched to directv, I couldn't follow the races very well and the internet drove me crazy trying to follow...... But once again, I have TVG..... This might not be good news.....
What's the channel number for CSTV?

TVG and CSTV are now blacked out to NON Sports pack and premiere subs.
I just downgraded my programming and equipment, since my $20 off premier for six months ran out. If I'd seen this announcement before downgrading (that'll teach me to take a week off from DBSTalk!), I might have been tempted to keep the sports pack.
But now that I think about it, I'm glad I didn't. Since the NCAA basketball tournament is over, we're entering the down time of NCAA sports. I guess regular season NCAA baseball and lacrosse do it for some people (hey, I'm a lacrosse fan myself), but there really isn't much high profile NCAA sports again until the fall.
I believe key NCAA championship events, life the College World Series and Div I lacrosse semi-finals and finals will be on ESPN/2 anyway.
I'll definitely be checking out CSTV in the fall when I add the sports pack back. I'm glad DirecTV picked it up. It just seems a weird time to start up a station based entirely on NCAA sporting events.
Ryan, did you try to call and get the $20 off for a second six months? I've heard you can do that.

What's the deal? I thought it was a one-time promotion...How do you extend it?
Just call and ask. You may or may not get it, according to the rules of CSR roulette. I've read on tivocommunity of many people who are on their second go 'round.
No I didn't try. I guess I could try, but somehow I don't feel right about it. Spring and summer become a time of much less TV viewing for us anyway, especially with a 16 month old.
Maybe I'll try again in the fall when we get back to more TV viewing.
IMO, summer is the best time to have TCP because of all the movie channels you can watch while the nets are in summer repeats.
YMMV.
(But I understand babies can complicate things in ways we might not have thought. But that's usually a good thing. :) )
