Question about slimline pole mount

Is there a D* policy regarding the mast and mounting bracket for a slimline dish when it is installed on a pole? I asked the installer to leave the bracket and mast with me but he said that their (the installers?) policy was not to leave these items. Is this really up to the installer?

I dont know for sure, but I would say it probably is up to the installer. They are required to install what you need to receive what you ordered, they do not specifically sell you the dish/multiswitch/mount/cable, that is just supplied as needed to support the receivers/services you ordered.
