Receiver Lease?

My sister gave me her 4 DirecTV receivers because she switched to Comcast as her service provider. If I use these receivers to replace my current receivers in my other rooms, will that eliminate the $4.99 lease fee per receiver or will they tack on some other kind of fee if I actually own my own receivers?

Assuming your sister did actually own them, they will be owned by you. You may need to purchase new cards for them and each receiver on your account (after the initial receiver) is subject to a $5 mirroring fee, whether leased or owned.
