Hmm, well this week was actually pretty interesting.
Matt and Daphe and a baby - interesting.
Claire killing her uncle...trying to a second time....
Gabriel/Sylar Mr. Goodguy? And who is the baby momma?
Gabriel/Sylar Mr. Goodguy? And who is the baby momma?Wondering that myself!
I agree, it was a good episode. I'm hanging on for dear life trying to follow the dual timelines, though. :)

Not having children myself and not having been around a very young one in a while, I might be off here, but...
This was supposed to be 4 years in the future. How old did Sylar's kid look? Almost looked like he could be a 4 year old to me... or at least 3. That seemed unlikely given Sylar's current state of mind that he could be cured enough within the next year to settle down and have a child.

The child may have been "given" to him much the way Claire was given to Noah or Molly to Parkman.

True, thought it was interesting his name was Noah.

I thought of that possibility myself later... so it helps the age of the boy situation, but still leaves they why-would-someone-trust-Sylar enough to give him a young child situation so soon.
The way I figured it... Sylar has spent the last 2 years killing fairly violently, and wanted to kill underage Claire and would have killed very much underage Molly if he had found her hiding in the closet way back... so it seems like you wouldn't just give him a young defenseless child, or would you? Maybe the company is even more warped than they appear.

I think the point is that he isn't Sylar anymore. He is Gabriel again. He learned to control his power and had devoted himself to being someone good. What better way to make up for your sins than to raise a child to be a good person (hence the "What's the magic word?" dialogue).
It will be interesting to see what happens if Peter can change the present. If he does, how much of the future would be changed besides preventing the end of the world. Will Daphne still end up dying? Will Gabriel get his son back?
Also, does anyone think that Peter killed Nathan or did he stop cutting him in time?

Also, does anyone think that Peter killed Nathan or did he stop cutting him in time?Assuming Peter can change the future, I'd assume the worst for the current "unchanged" future. At this time, Nathan is probably dead, just like Costa Verde was blown off the map. Just my .02. /steve

I got that part... just questioned the timing is all. A reformed serial killer isn't likely to be able to adopt... certainly not in a couple of years... but I know it isn't reality so I will survive the confusion.

We thought maybe Clair was the boy's mom since Mr. Muggles was there and it was her mom & dad's house. Changed our minds once she came in blasting!

That said, I'm still not sure Angela didn't lie to Sylar about being his mother. /steve

I doubt if the kid was any relation to Claire. When they were there she held the gun on the kid to threaten Gabriel. What bothers me is that the future Peter is dead. He has Claire's healing ability so how did they kill him? The Haitian was nearby so that would have stopped his regeneration but when the Haitian moved away from him he should have come back to life.

did they not show that earlierYes. Sorry for the confusion, but I used both Gabriel and Sylar in the same post, because they refer to two different sides of the same character (and because I can sometimes get anal about things!) It was as "Sylar" that he was told he was Angela's son. And if you recall, when Peter showed up at the house, it was Gabriel who told his son "your uncle is here", or something to that effect. :) /steve

good stuff ...kinda reminds me a little of the 4400 at times
I was very confused watching this episode, because I was DVR-less in a hotel and couldn't replay the bits-and-pieces I wanted to ... hopefully this is the last time I ever have to watch Heroes without a DVR, because I can't imagine ever doing this again!
