MSNBC is saying that Saddam and his sons are dead. No link yet, but it is on MSNBC TV. I guess it will take a while to see if it is true.

MSNBC is better than CNN ... but nobody beats FOX for fair and balanced news.

MSNBC easily beat CNN and Fox News with this story, CNN and Fox were too busy with their special shows...Larry King and Hannity and Colmes.
As for after the war, I am starting to lean towards MSNBC for their news.

There has always been the possibility of him being dead since we first attacked in this War. It is also possible that he is not dead. There is not even any evidence of this that has been told as of yet. Just because he is dead does not mean that the regime is.
Although if they are reporting him dead then there must be good reason for them doing this.

He's not being reported dead, it will be a while before we really know if SH and his sons are really dead or if they were even in the buildings that were hit. Likelihood is high, but we won't know for a while.

Saddam WAS the regime. After the first time the Ba'ath Party was in power, they were toppled in a coup. Saddam and company came back into power a second time and Saddam went about making sure there was NO competition. There were thousands killed over the years making sure it stayed that way.
Should he be dead, what remains of their opposition will no doubt go about extracting revenge on what remains of the Ba'ath Party.
I do feel sorry for Saddam's family. Part of the brutality is cultural. Much is pure paranoid homicidal psychopathic behaviour. Either way, they didn't create him by themselves and should not be held responsible any more than any serial killer's family should be. They may have to go into exile and hopefully the Brits will have a place for them. The allies are going to have to nip revenge in the bud and get the Iraqis on track to rebuilding and joining the first world ASAP.
If so, we will find out how deep the chain of command really goes. I never believed for one minute that the entire country of Iraq will surrender when SH & Sons are gone. I hope I ma wrong but I predict that Iraq will turn into another Lebanon, with guerilla factions fighting the US and other factions in Iraq for years to come. we have never solved the problems in Beruit, what makes you think they will be solved in Baghdad any better?

Chevy Chase now takes the seat behind the Weekend Update News Desk and proudly proclaims:

I have been bouncing back and forth between Fox and MSNBC. MSNBC certainly won on this one.

Is it just me or are you waiting for a marine to walk up while he is giving one of his speeches..... and give him an atomic wedgie!!!!
With a quote in Arabic..... "Greetings from the special effects shop at the US army movie set!"
I thought once you were dead, you can't be killed again. Pretty cool trick. Must have learned it from Osama....

What I tought would be cool would be when the Information Minister is giving a rooftop press conference like he did a few times in the past week, that he is standing there and all of a sudden 4 or 5 Laser optic sniper sights just start dancing around his torso and head. No bullet or anything, but as he says there are no Coalition forces in Baghdad or something like that the laser pointers show up a second later. That would just be cool to see. It would make one of those "priceless" commericals... :D

For the next 3 week Iraqi TV will be showing video tape of Saddam, and we will hear ALL news channels saying "Was that him? Is he alive?" then 3 weeks from now we will blast some place saying he was there and the entire cycle will start over again.
For me in this war I don't see Saddam saying to his 2 son's... "Hey guys want to go with me to Denny's tonight and grab a bite and talk about the war?"
All 3 of them are probably still alive and miles appart from eahc other.
It's going to be a long war.
from the first day when bob said that, it really really irked me(the arrogant little weasel-amonst all the other trash talk)-so yeah-i'd love to see him giving one of his press sessions when our guys come in and do just that to him...

Heck, he probably left the country right before we came in, do you think he is stupid enough to stay there with us coming in after him?

Stupid question time.....
How the heck do we prove that Saddam or his sons are either alive OR dead?
