The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded TiVo with an Emmy. This year, the Academy created a new category to recognize advances made by those in the digital video recorder industry for contributions to the TV viewing experience. TiVo was awarded the Emmy in this new category for its creation of, development in and advancement of DVR technology and services.
