I just have to ask.... which is the crazier job?

Ice Road Trucker.

I think it'd be cool to be a storm chaser. No way in heck, however, I'd sit on my tail in sub arctic temperatures for hours at a time driving over water.

Lets see.......

Driving a big rig over frozen water or chasing a storm in an airplane?

Both sound crazy to me but at least in a plane you've got a little more heads up if something is going wrong. When the ice cracks, you're screwed.

Shouldn't those deadliest catch guys be included in this poll? Just an observation.

Ice Road, the ice could just give in a weak spot at any time. Scary stuff!

+1

I lived on a lake in Northern Minnesota for a while and was always amazed at the number of fools (at least in my mind) that would drive out on the ice as late as the end of March. I always heard stores about people goign through the ice but luckily never saw it happen.

For me, after watching Twister, it's storm chaser. I understand the information they get is very useful, I can't see myself doing that.

Ice Road Trucker has to be the safer of the two jobs. Why? They do check the ice thickness in order to try and make it as safe as possible, even with the possibility of the "doors".

Storm chasers never know which direction the tornado will take.
