I d/l software. I installed software. It found my DVR. I entered the "activation key" when it asked for "serial number". When I click ACTIVATE, it continues to tell me "incorrect activation key"...It cannot be as I did it again after it did not work the first time, and cut & pasted to be sure it was exact as in e-mail.
Please advise..........Thank You

same for me. i hand-typed the code twice just to make sure.

It has been posted elsewhere that it is a problem with the activation server.
You can prove this by trying to ping activation.cyberlink.com
Currently the request is timing out with every attempt.
Hope they get the server back online soon!!

editing the hosts file has not worked for me and I thought trying it after midnight would ease the load on the server. still nothing.

Had the same problem. Turned out that the letters weren't capitalized. Try that if you haven't already.

Could not activate last night no matter what. Tried this AM, and it worked fine.

Same for me. I think the code takes several hours to work its way through the Cyberlink systems...

Mine wouldn't activate at first either. I re-installed it and then it worked.

Still not yet for me. Will try to reinstall again ... nope, still won't activate, and pinging still shows no response from the server.

One thing, there is an error during install and uninstall that a program has stopped operating, fithookinstaller and fithookuninstaller.

Still not sure why I can't ping. I am using the friendly name and it's resolving the IP address correctly.
