I assume this is the right place to put this. For those of you waiting for the next release of Halo for the Xbox, some folks have started to put together the interim account of what happened between Halo 1 and Halo 2. Pretty funny....

http://www.redvsblue.com/bloodgulch.shtml

"In the time between the Covenant invasion of the outer planets (Halo) and the subsequent alien invasion of Earth (Halo 2), there was a brief period of civil war among the human marines. Places like Sidewinder, Derelict and Chiron TL34 were the sites of fierce battles where red and blue warriors fought for control of mankind's future. The Blood Gulch Chronicles tell the story of the men stationed in a desolate outpost as they fight for control of the universe's most strategic dry creek bed in the middle of a box canyon."

I WANT HALO 2 NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel better now. Not since Doom have I played a game over and over again after I got to the end of the game.

I've beaten the game on every level INCLUDING legendary (it took me about 3 weeks to beat the hardest level where you are teleported up to the ship and about a dozen Gold Swordsmen wipe out your entire squad. I finally beat it by sprinting to the hallways when my invisibility upgrade wore out, hiding in a corner, and sniped at anyone coming in).

Even the music is amazing. They actually released a audio CD with music from the game. Burned it into a soundtrack on the XBox so I could port the music over to other games.....

Here's a little something for the uninitiated.....

Jeez. The last thing I want to do is spend another month of my time with my ass glued to the couch. But I tell ya, Bungie just makes damn good games.

As far as I'm concerned, the Marathon game is the best first person shooter ever. Halo is basically Marathon on crack. Halo rocks; but there was something about Durandell being a part of the game that made Marathon so interesting.
