I have a 720p Panosonic which by it's spec's can recieve 1080i and 1080p signals and ofcourse down convert them..
When using the new 1080p VOD test, I'm getting the message that my set is not set up for "DTV's" 1080p signal. So is the DTV 1080p differant then shall we say standard 1080p?

I see two possibilities. The signal is 1080p/24 (24 frames/second, the same as the original movie) and some sets only accept 1080p/60 (60 frames/second). There are also some issues with the HDMI negotiations between the DVR and some televisions which do accept 1080p/24. It should still work with the DVR resolution set to 720p or 1080i.

D* 1080p is 24hz, yours might be 30 or 60.

HDMI switches can also mess it up as well.

Where do I find this 1080p VOD test?
