I've had my 722 about a month now. I use the rewind back 10s quite often to catch missed dialog.
Now when I listen to my radio at night I momentarily want to rewind that too when I miss something.
I keep getting fooled.

I miss MUTE on those occasions.

My wife doesn't like it when I point the remote her way and franticly hit the power button. Then I try all the other buttons. Any button. Batteries ok?
Ahhh..

I sometimes find myself reaching for the rewind on the car radio. May be someone will invent one some day.

IIRC BMW has just come out with head units that record just as DVR's do so you can rewind. I have missed it as well, also going to someones house that doesn't have a DVR drives me nuts. I do only buy XM receivers that record though so I can kind of rewind on them. Just wish I could skip back instead of only being able to skip back the whole song or the whole talk show segment.

Before I canceled a bunch of subs, both of my active Sirius receivers and two out of three of my active XM receivers had Pause/Rewind functionality. Since I refuse to listen to terrestrial radio, I've been able to time shift radio for about 3 years now. It's nice being able to puase O&A when I go into a store and pick up where I left off.
