This is to help those that want to use this program.
Please don't post other than computers that work, as there are many other threads

CPU & Video cards seem to be the main requirements. If you don't know what you have but do know your computer model, then post it.

2.33 GHz Core2 Duo, Nvidia 8800GT
3 GHz PentiumD, Nvidia 6600GT with analog monitor
3.4 GHz Pentium 4 HT, ATI [Asus] 3650, plays everything but local MPEG-4 1080i

1. Dell D830, T7500 (2.2ghz) core 2 duo, 4gb ram, nvidia quadro 135 w/256mb - plays everything fine
2. Dell Dimension 8400, 3.2 ghz Pentium 4, 2gb ram, nvidia 9600gt w/512mb - plays everything fine except for 1080i OTA mpeg-2 with a little stutter - if I allow to buffer enough it clears it up

Mine is a 2.5 year old Sony Vaio SZ-120P: 13.3" screen, first generation Intel Core Duo at 1.83 Ghz (T2400), NVidia GeForce Go 7400, 2 GB of RAM, 802.11g WiFi, replaced XP with Vista. Works pretty well. Sometimes I get a little stuttering.

SD works perfect on my 3 yr old Toshiba A105-S4001, HD has some stutter:
Intel T1300 1.66GHz
1.0 GB Ram
Intel Graphics Media 128MB
Windows XP
802.11 B/G wireless @ 54Mbps
HR20-700 running 0x292

This laptop is very basic, not much power at all. Very pleased (and shocked) that DirecTV2PC works!

Desktop with Asus p5b motherboard, core 2 duo 1.83ghz, x3000 integrated graphics, panasonic powerline network.

Dell e1705 laptop, core 2 duo 2.0ghz, 945GM integrated graphics, dell 1390 11g network.

Both play SD and HD content just fine from an HR20 attached to the router. Havent tried doing HD content from the other HR20 which is powerline attached to the same network as the desktop. I'll try that tomorrow.

Note this is NOT the directv powerline product, this is an alleged HD capable powerline product from Panasonic that everyone has been selling for next to nothing.

Both work flawlessly (though the desktop has a lot more horsepower so uses less CPU):

Desktop
Dell XPS 420
2.4GHz Quad Core Q6600
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB
24" HDCP-compliant LCD (DVI)
Wired to WRT600N Dual-band (2.4 & 5GHz) Wireless N Gigabit Router
Vista Ultimate

Laptop
Dell XPS M1530
2.2GHz Core2 Duo T7500
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256MB
Intel 4965AGN Dual band Wireless N (set to 5MHz)
Vista Home Premium

DVRs are networked wirelessly with WGA600N adapters set to 5MHz

Homebuilt PC

P4 3.0Ghz, 3 GB RAM dual booting XP MCE/Vista Ultimate
Evga 9600GT video
Connected via a Home Powerline

SD works fine, HD is quite jerky over HPN even after letting it buffer for a while.

If I connect it via 1GHz ethernet it works fine on both, but CPU is hitting around 85% so D2PC apparently isn't using the HW for acceleration.

One other quirk, on XP it's nice and clear on Vista it's quite blocky/fuzzy with the latest nvidia drivers.

Then I'd say it isn't "really" working "fine", but you're "close".
If you can overclock your CPU up to 3.3 GHz, "I'd bet" you'll see it work better.

Intel Pentium Dual Core T2390 (1.86GHz 533Mhz, 1M L2 Cache)
3GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

This works fine. I've even played the 1080p downloads. I honestly don't know if that makes a difference but it worked just fine.

Usually when it first starts is a little choppy. If I pause and play it smoothes right out and is fine.

In my case I run some distributed software and have to "snooze' it when I run DirecTV2PC.

I suspect there are other programs or TSRs that people need to disable if they're having problems.

It works fine on this PC

Edited as per veryoldschool. I left in the networking stuff because the DirecTV program gave me a yellow, (a suggestion to upgrade it) and the graphics accelerator got an unknown, but it works fine anyway.

The below configuration functions well. Its only lacking in HDCP support. So far this only prohibits me from playing DOD HD programing.

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 1.86GHz [2 Core(s)]
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE

As in the first post, try to keep your posting to CPU & Video chip/card types.
These are the major requirements to have this app work.
I know most are proud of what they have, but since this ISN'T a troubleshooting thread, everything in your computer isn't very useful to others.
Thanks to all for posting what works. :)

Mac users:
Please feel free to post more details of how you've gotten it to work for other mac users and hopefully you can help them through PMs, since this isn't a troubleshooting thread.

HP AMD 64x2 6000+
3 gig Ram
7600 Nvidia Card 256 meg
Acer P221w LCD
Wireless N connection

plays perfect

HP AMD 64x2 4200
2 gig Ram
6150 Nvidia On Board Video
HP 19 in LCD
Wired Connection

plays perfect

HP Turion single core 2.2
1 gig mem
ATI 200 express 128 dedicated mem
Laptop Wireless N or G connection

plays SD only

could be due to single core, mem video card or all of these things

This laptop is about 2 years old and by no means a weak anything. IMO DTV should get there program to let these type computers play Directv2PC if at all possible. Not many people will buy a new computer just for this feature.
