I jumped on the 15% Dell coupon deal that's been floating around and got an Xbox 360 elite. It comes with Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda. Cute games.

I have an original Xbox and really enjoyed Halo, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and other first person shooters.

So, what games do you recommend? (Already have the other Halos)

If you wait just a bit you can get "Gear of War 2" the first one was a great game and this one is suppose to be better! I believe it comes out on November 11th.

If you enjoy the online experience, get a copy of Halo 3. Still one of the best FPS for online play. As others have mentioned, Gears of War 2 in a week. For sports, I love Madden 2008 and it is a very strong title for online play too.

Madden, of course.

Oh, and if you are a Netflix subscriber, you will be able to watch HD movies instantly on your Xbox 360/TV soon (rumored to be around 11/19).

Got Xbox live. Also set up streaming music, pics, movies from my home PC over a wireless bridge into my network. When the wife saw the pics (we have 8gb of pics), she ooh'ed and aah'ed and pretty much announced that having an Xbox was worth the price!

Wait until she orders a movie from Netflix! Maybe I'll dump my movie channels...

I've been seeing a number of interesting things about the Netflix HD stuff.
For instance, you have to have an HDCP compliant TV. That means HDMI only, no component.

Dead Rising makes the system for me. The game has flaws, but damn is it fun. My favorite FPS is Call of Duty 3 & 4.

Here's an article for you, debunking the HDCP issue:

Be sure to set up Windows Media Center on your XBOX and your PC (if it has it - either Vista or XP Media Center). To me, it's the XBOX's "killer app".
