Ok so now Ty and Aja are gone, seems like everytime I find a team I kind of like they get eliminated. So pretty much the teams left now are all annoying in one way or another, well there's still one that I kind of like, but since I seem to have quite the "jinxing" ability this season i'm keeping my mouth shut! I wish they'd use one of the "non-elimination" legs a little earlier in the competition, it seems that they wait to start using them until there's only 5 or 6 teams left. I've also said that it would be nice if they made segment 1 an automatic non-elim leg. Ya know kind of like a practice run or something, or to make it mean something maybe you give the team to come in last after the first leg a 30 minute penalty. It would just be nice to get to know the teams a little better, give you a little better chance to figure out who you like and who you don't before they start sending people home IMO. Of course I also realize it's a logistical and money thing too, after all the quicker you eliminate people the fewer camera's and camera people you need, the fewer plane tickets you need and so on.

Interesting idea.
This season there isn't one team that I or my wife are pulling for. Its actually been that way for a few seasons now. I like that fact too, as that means that the producers have weeded out the drama filled teams and are focusing on the race and not the drama on the teams. I know N&S and the divorcees are going at it but its not pulling us away from the race.

Actually I think that is the goal of the producers. To create as much conflict as possible. Makes for interesting TV. The race to them is secondary. (This is of course my opinion). The teams over the years for AR have gotten weaker and weaker and cookie cutter. Ever season you have the control freak. You have the two cute blonds, The two nerdy guys, etc. They definitely are not trying to fill the field with a strong field of competitive teams.
This is a common theme across a number of reality shows so either they are running out of interesting competitive people or they feel the show is more interesting with the type of people they current put on the shows.
I am with you guys on routing for someone. The only team i like is the sister/brother team that is actually playing the game. Given miss information etc. Formed a very weak alliance etc.
The divorcees that think they are really intelligent is just a joke. They need a huge reality check both on the show and in real life.
I also feel they are doing a lot more shows that are really bunching up the teams. Seem that getting to the locations seem to be easier and the challanges at this point are pretty easy. I do hope they raise the bar but my guess is that will not be happening.
So the team I hope wins is the Brother/Sister. The frat bros and the divorcees don't deserve to win given the bone head stuff they have done so far. The football player and wife will eventually explode on each other. The Mom and Son team is steady but Mom will eventually cost them. But then again, AR just like Survivor's randomness eliminate has increased with each season so who knows.. Maybe the Frat bros will win. ;)

The football player and wife will eventually explode on each other.
Won't be too soon.
Previews showed them having a big blowup next week. :)

I couldn't figure out how far back were Ty and Aja. They never said when their flight was. The wife and I were trying to figure out if it was the next day.
I thought it was pretty funny how they kept passing each other in the trucks and on the boats.
Yes, we can't believe how dumb the blonds really are. They say they are smart, but each week, they prove themselves wrong.
I do think the road blocks/detours have seemed pretty easy so far. I liked the clone show based on National Treasure. Can't remember the name. But it had puzzles that were more difficult.
I'll watch AR until its canceled. Still fun, even with shortcomings.
It was "Treasure Hunters". I saw it and loved it as a good break from "Survivor" style games where voting/politicking was so much of the game. My favorite moment from TH was when they were in Washington DC, and before they went to the Library of Congress to research a clue, it hit me that they were going to have to go to Fort McHenry in Baltimore (eventually). All the talking they were doing pointed to going to a "Key" moment in history (Francis Scott Key). I suddenly turned to my daughter and shouted it out and, sure enough, in the previews for the next show, it was clear they were going to Baltimore.
This is my first season of watching TAR. Looks like I might have to see some of the previous ones.
